Maintain a comprehensive database
Our Database Team maintains all data and photos, and actively updates around the clock both on social media platforms and in Google Docs.
Match lost and found animals
Using the database, our Matching Team compares lost and found reports and reaches out to owners. We reunite pets not only trapped by community rescuers, but languishing in shelters unclaimed, or being fostered by Good Samaritans.
Public Lost and Found Albums
In large disasters, it’s often necessary for agencies to board pets in numerous shelters – sometimes across multiple counties. We centralize lost and found pet reports for the owners and the public in one database, and display them in photo albums with updates and edits appearing in real time.
Coordinate with community field rescuers
We coordinate with trappers and organizations working on the ground to rescue pets. For example, we help identify pets trapped or captured on trail cams so they can be reunited with owners, and make lost reports and maps of lost and found pets available to rescuers.
